The conventional weathering coarse insulation adapted in Indian building sector can be significantly supplemented by providing a low cost natural Insulla insulation tiles at the top most surface, which has high reflective and insulative properties to prevent the heat infiltration atthe entry point itself. Moreover, its ability to release the heat gained during the day time by the RCC structure to the atmosphere contributes to the overall reduction in heat infiltration on daily basis by around 50 % in comparison with bare RCC structure. It can provide greater comfort for the occupants in non-air- conditioned building and can greatly reduce the load capacity and running cost of air-conditioning system.
